REVIVAL OF A STATE BEFORE INDEPENDENCE DAY

“tere sheher ka kya hai naam? jannat hai, jannat hai” is a song from The Hero movie sung by Alka Yagnik & Udit Narayan. I heared it today after 14 years because Jammu & kashmir is reborn today. But now what i will share with you is something the country has been waiting for the last 70 years.

Currently all news channels, news websites and social media plaforms are constantly overflowing with government’s decision of scrapping Article 370 from Jammu & Kashmir. We are reading it and listening it everywhere but many of us don’t even know how this will be beneficial for us.

Let’s start it by understanding what Aritcle 370 is about….

Article 370 of the Indian constitution is an article that provides independence to the state of Jammu and Kashmir. According to this Article, J&K has its own flag and its own constitution and even Indian Parliament cannot make any change in some of the laws or policies without seeking the approval of State Government. The latest move by the Central Government gives full applicability of the Indian Consitution in Jammu and Kashmir.

How scrapping of Article 370 is beneficial for general people like us…

Article 35A, making a distinction between the permanent residents of Jammu and Kashmir and the outsiders. The sectors of education and employment will open up to all Indians without any discrimination that Article 35 brought by means of the clause of permanent residents.

The central quota laws in school-college admissions and state government jobs will apply just like other Indian states.

Purchasing land and owning property by people who were considered outsiders till now, would be possible. This was considered a major reason preventing corporates setting up big units in Jammu and Kashmir which will lead to the emergence of private sector in the state.

There can be reservation for minorities in the state now as well, depending on the decisions taken by the newly formed state legislature

Earlier, the Right to Information (RTI) Act was not applicable to Jammu and Kashmir. That has also changed.

This was the biggest Historic decision taken by the Government and I support the government on this decision because as per my opinion this will also help in reducing and controlling Terriorism. I hope this will bring peace and development in the state.
